Allen is a 36 year old Dairy Farmer from Toora in South Gippsland. Together with his wife Lisa, they milk around 250 cows on 300 acres of land with the assistance of Allen’s parents and one full time staff member.

Off the farm, Allen is Chairman of the local branch of the Bendigo Community Bank. He is also President of the Welshpool Cricket Club and committee member of the Welshpool Recreational Reserve. He plays mixed netball in the summer competition.

Whilst in Wisconsin, Allen hopes to experience how American dairy farmers manage the major challenges of cattle fertility and mastitis in their operations and to see any new techniques and equipment that could be applied to the Australian Dairy Industry.
